Windsor - July 19, 2013 - The recent news of the City of Detroit filing for bankruptcy marks a sad milestone in history of the global financial meltdown. It is no secret that as a whole in this area we have been hard hit by the global economic recession, but I believe there is reason for hope and optimism.
This region has much to offer and continues to be strategically located in the North-American heartland. We are a transportation and logistics hub, a centre for innovation and an incredible destination for visitors whose interests can range from sports, music, gaming, eco and culinary-tourism and much more.
By continuing to build on these and other pillars we have an opportunity to take on the challenge before us to rebuild and grow our economy. By leveraging the incredible assets and opportunities we already have I believe that now, one of our darkest hours can signal the beginning of one of our greatest triumphs.
