Windsor - Mar. 25, 2020: The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is reporting a 4th Confirmed Case of COVID-19, a male in his sixties that recently traveled to the United States and returned March 13th. He developed symptoms on March 16th and was tested at the COVID-19 Assessment Centre, located at Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus on March 20th. FULL STORY
Windsor - Mar. 22, 2020: It’s Saturday afternoon, and the Missus and I have just returned from our “Essential Services” tour of the city. Our stops included the drug store, (where you can get Ex-Lax but not toilet paper), the grocery store (where you can get paper towels but not toilet paper), the liquor store (definitely an essential service these days where you can get booze but not toilet paper, and if you get enough booze, you don’t really care) and a fast food hamburger joint (where you can get in the drive thru but you can’t order toilet paper). Essex - Mar. 9, 2020: Over 2,500 people were expected to attend Essex County’s premier Maple Syrup Festival at the John R. Park Homestead. The weather was great and visitors were able to make maple taffy in the snow, and see syrup being made the pioneer way. There were plenty of demonstrations and hands-on activities.
