 Review needed of Levin touchables
Sicko. A sicko, a pervert, who was placed in the trust of guiding education policy in Ontario for children. How can Premier Kathleen Wynne not order a review of every document, every policy, every report or email that Ben Levin, her deputy, dealt with? How?

South Dundas - June 6, 2015 - In the real world, not the political world, when there are allegations of wrong-doing, the person or people accused are investigated. Not only are they investigated, if they are in a position of trust, all of the work of the accused is reviewed, thoroughly.

Case in point, former North Stormont treasurer Monique Lajeunesse. Lajeunesse was charged in 2012 for major fraud, theft, and breach of trust, over $113,000 being stolen from taxpayers in North Stormont. She plead guilty in 2013 to those charges, and received two one-year sentences, served concurrently. Over the course of the investigation, everything she worked on was audited and reviewed. It would have to be, due to the nature of the crime and the breach of trust charge. There are many examples in business and in local government where this happens.

The question is then, why can’t the Kathleen Wynne government allow a review or audit of all of the policy documents that convicted and admitted sex-offender Ben Levin worked on?

Ben Levin, a member of Ontario Liberal Leader Kathleen Wynne’s transition team when she took office as Premier, her deputy minister when she was Minister of Education, the person who was responsible for the version of the controversial sex-education curriculum in 2010 that was shelved. The same version that the curriculum that is being rolled out this coming fall was based on. Why is there no review or audit?

Why has there been no public review or audit of any policy, document or work done by Ben Levin during his time in the employ of the province of Ontario? If there has been a review or audit done, why is the public, the ones who paid the salary of this admitted sex-offender, not being told of the results?

This is not just one of those usual “tin-foil hat” conspiracies we are talking about here. This is someone who was in a position of enormous influence or trust over the education of children in the province of Ontario. This same person admitted to, plead guilty to, and now will be serving a three-year sentence for criminal offenses involving children.

Levin, who was billed as “a leading expert in childhood education”, fantasized about incest, child-rape, and other acts. He wrote the 2010 sex-ed curriculum, which is the basis of the 2015 curriculum that Kathleen Wynne and Education Minister Liz Sandals is so adamant will be implemented this fall.

Ontario Court Judge Heather McArthur, the judge who sentenced Levin, stated that, “I accept that Mr. Levin did not actually sexually assault his children.” Thankfully.

His three-year sentence consists of a six-month mandatory sentence plus 12 months for making of and possessing child pornography, and 18 months for counselling someone on how to sexually-assault their child. That someone was the undercover police officer responsible for helping convict this sicko.

Sicko. A sicko, a pervert, who was placed in the trust of guiding education policy in Ontario for children. How can Premier Kathleen Wynne not order a review of every document, every policy, every report or email that Ben Levin, her deputy, dealt with?

How?
