Lakeshore - Feb. 19, 2021: Lakeshore Recreation will begin to offer modified recreational programs, and use of its recreation facilities once the region officially enters Orange-Restrict of the response framework. Activities that may become available will include the indoor walking track, ice sports, open skating, shuffleboard, instructional classes at the Atlas Tube, Libro Centre in Woodslee and the Comber Community Centre, as well as a potential re-opening of the WFCU Pools at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre. Stoney Point - Jun. 10, 2020: Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Severe thunderstorms may move in from Michigan and Northwest Ohio later this afternoon into this evening. The main threats include damaging wind gusts to 110 km/h which may cause power outages. Lakeshore - Jun. 8, 2020: Current average daily water levels on Lake St. Clair sit at around 176.00 m (I.G.L.D.). This water level is 1 cm above the all-time record high monthly average for June set last year, and 8 cm below last year’s peak daily average water level set on July 7/8th. Water level forecasts are currently predicting a slight rise in lake levels of 2 to 3 cm over the month of June. FULL STORY

Lakeshore - Jun. 6, 2020: A group of community leaders, business owners and residents are volunteering their time to hold an Essex County-wide food drive on June 27th in collaboration with the Goodfellows and Windsor Essex County Food Bank Association. The June 27th Miracle project is asking every Windsor-Essex resident to place a non-perishable food item on their doorstep at 12:00 pm, and an army of volunteers will be going around to pick them up. Drop-off locations will be available for those living in rural areas. All donations will be given to food banks and organizations across the community. FULL STORY
