Windsor - Mar. 19, 2020:
Brian Masse M.P. (Windsor West), NDP Innovation, Science, Economic Development and Auto Critic highlighted the need to protect workers involved in the essential supply chain across important sectors with the US-Canada border now closed to non-essential travel due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

“With border restrictions having been tightened twice this week with Monday’s banning of everyone other than Canadians, permanent residents or US citizens from coming to Canada and then today’s closing of the US-Canada land border to non-essential travel it of utmost importance that the supply chain and the workers involved be protected. During this public health emergency people on the frontline include those in healthcare, trucking, transport, railways, utilities and telecom workers. But this also includes workers in the supply chain which ranges from food to pharmaceuticals to all other essentials for our economy. Now is the time to provide all the necessary resources for supply chain workers to be supported so they can be successful which benefits all of us,” Masse stated.
