Windsor - Mar. 9, 2020:
Easter Seals Ontario (Windsor-Essex) is pleased to welcome Brigid Kidd as one of its Unifor Local 444 Regional Easter Seals Ambassadors for 2020.

Brigid is a high spirited 14-year-old with a smile that never leaves her face. She was born with a genetic condition called mitochondrial encephalomyopathy that affects all facets of her life, except for her “bring it on” attitude. Whether she’s braving the high ropes course at Camp Woodeden or curled up with the latest book from her favourite author, Raina Telgemeier, she faces every challenge with fierce determination.

“I can’t wait to serve as an Ambassador again to help other kids know that a disability doesn’t have to define you and to help parents learn what Easter Seals offers kids and families who face similar challenges,” says Kidd.

Easter Seals Ontario has been a champion of children and youth with physical disabilities from all ethnic and religious backgrounds within the communities of Windsor-Essex and across the province for the past 98 years. Proceeds from the March is Easter Seals Month campaign, launched earlier this week throughout the communities of Windsor-Essex, will go towards funding of essential mobility and accessibility equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers, ramps and lifts, for kids with physical disabilities, as well as opportunities for kids to experience fun, friendship and participation at fully accessible Easter Seals camps. Easter Seals is only able to provide its programs with the generous support of its donors and sponsors.
