Windsor Transit adjusts schedule due to additional tunnel closures

The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel LLC has added additional overnight closures as work continues on its $22 million renovation project. The tunnel will close between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. on March 5, March 12, March 19, March 26, April 16, April 23 and April 30.

Windsor - Mar. 4, 2020:
The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel LLC has added additional overnight closures as work continues on its $22 million renovation project.

The tunnel will close between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. on March 5, March 12, March 19, March 26, April 16, April 23 and April 30.

During the closures, the last regular Tunnel Bus service to Detroit will depart from the Windsor International Transit Terminal at 8:00 pm, and the last bus from Detroit to Windsor will depart from the Detroit Tunnel Plaza (Mariner’s Church) at 8:39 pm.

For any special events, the Tunnel Bus will take passengers to the event, and the Ambassador Bridge will be used for the return trip home. Passengers are requested to return to the bus stop immediately following the event.
