Eastbound Highway 401 closed east of Brockville

The Leeds detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is reporting that the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 are closed east of Brockville due to a serious two vehicle accident. At this point there is no word of any injuries.

Cornwall - December 11, 2011 - The Leeds detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is reporting that the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 are closed east of Brockville due to a serious two vehicle accident.

Police are detouring traffic via MM 696 (Augusta Road) to MM 705 (County Road 15). The notice was posted at 9:11 pm and the detour is expected to last several hours.

At this point there is no word of any injuries.
