Tractor Trailer accident closes Highway 401 at Long Sault Exit - NOW RE-OPENED

Cornwall - November 30, 2011 - The Stormont Dundas and Glengarry detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have issued an advisory that the eastbound lane of Highway 401 is closed at exit 778 in Long Sault.

Traffic is being re-routed at exit 778 due to tractor trailer motor vehicle accident and fuel spill.

The OPP anticipate the closure to last two to three hours. The OPP will distribute details and updates of the road advisory as the information becomes available.

SD&G OPP want to advise the motoring public that the east bounds lanes of Highway 401 have been cleared and are now open to traffic.
