Cornwall - Nov. 9, 2011 - On Wednesday, November 23rd, the Science and Nature Speaker Series will feature a presentation by Willy De Wit at the Cornwall Public Library. His talk, ‘Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Emissions’ will focus on some of the most common sources of greenhouse gases in Canadian agricultural practices, and ways to control these emissions.

You will learn how greenhouse gas emissions are measured, and how emissions from soil and manure affect the atmosphere.

His recent work studied the impacts of agricultural practices on the atmosphere, and methods for quantifying gas emissions from agricultural wastes. Willy currently works as a Process and Environmental Specialist with HSP Engineering and Environmental Services in Long Sault.

Please join Willy deWit at the Cornwall Public Library on Wednesday, November 23 at 7 pm. Admission is free, however space is limited. Please call the River Institute to reserve your seat 613-936-6620.
