Traffic Plan For The Santa Claus Parade
The Cornwall Community Police Service is requesting the assistance of the public in providing a safe environment for participants in the Santa Claus Parade as well as its spectators.

Cornwall - Nov. 8, 2011 - The Cornwall Community Police Service is requesting the assistance of the public in providing a safe environment for participants in the Santa Claus Parade as well as its spectators.

The parade will commence at 5 pm on November 19 from St. Lawrence Secondary School located at 1450 Second Street East and will travel westbound on Second Street to Brookdale Avenue. No traffic will be allowed on Second Street from 04:30 pm. until the end of the parade.

Please note that "No Parking" signs will be erected on Second Street from Anthony Street to Brookdale Avenue. Cornwall Community Police Service officers will use their discretion to tow vehicles in contravention of the posted signs.

Officers will be on scene to ensure the safety of the participants and the general public. Detours may be necessary in order to reduce the interaction between vehicles and pedestrians as well as parade participants, therefore reducing the risk of injury to all involved in this event.
