Health Unit Working To Speed Up Flu Clinic Wait Times

The Eastern Ontario Health Unit is issuing an apology for longer than expected wait times at the Cornwall and Embrun flu immunization clinics.

Cornwall - Oct. 21, 2011 - The Eastern Ontario Health Unit is issuing an apology for longer than expected wait times at the Cornwall and Embrun flu immunization clinics.

A glitch in the software used during the clinics resulted in longer client processing times and, consequently, longer wait times.

“We are currently working with the software provider to rectify the issue. In the meantime, we have implemented solutions which have already resulted in improved wait times at our most recent clinics”, explained Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, Medical Officer of Health.
