OPP stop vessel on St. Lawrence River, seize drugs

The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Ontario Provincial Police: : On 20 Aug 11, at approximately 1:00pm, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to stop a vessel on the St Lawrence River, South Glengarry Township. The stop resulted in the seizure of approximately 29grams of suspected marihuana.

Long Sault - Aug. 23, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Ontario Provincial Police:

DOMESTIC INCIDENT
(South Stormont) - On 21 Aug 11, at approximately 8:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Hoople St, Ingleside On.

The investigation revealed that a 42yr old female and her common-law husband were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the female assaulting the male.

She was arrested faces a charge of: Assault

She is scheduled to appear 30 Aug 11 in Cornwall court.

CHARGES LAID
(North Dundas) - On 21Aug11, at approximately 2:30am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to check a vehicle on Clark Road, North Dundas Township.

The check revealed that the 24yr old male driver (James CORKERY of Oxford Mils, On) was operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and faces charges of: Impaired Operation / Motor vehicle, Exceed 80mgs / Motor Vehicle, Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana

He is scheduled to appear 25 Aug 11 in Cornwall court

STOP NETS DRUGS
(South Glengarry) - On 20 Aug 11, at approximately 1:00pm, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to stop a vessel on the St Lawrence River, South Glengarry Township.

The stop resulted in the seizure of approximately 29grams of suspected marihuana.

The 50yr old male operator (Allan ANDERSON of Cornwall, On) was arrested and faces a charge of: Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana

He is scheduled to appear 12 Oct 11 in Alexandria court.
