Fatal fire in Alexandria claims three lives

On 12 Aug 11, at approximately 2:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a residential fire on Boundary Road, Alexandria On. Early stages of the investigation reveal that an adult female and two children perished in the blaze. An adult male and another child were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Alexandria - Aug. 12, 2011 - On 12 Aug 11, at approximately 2:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a residential fire on Boundary Road, Alexandria On.

Early stages of the investigation reveal that an adult female and two children perished in the blaze. An adult male and another child were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

The names of the victims are being withheld until notification of next of kin.

SD&G OPP Crime Unit investigators are assisting the Coroner and Ontario Fire Marshall’s office with the investigation.
