NGDHS student Samantha Yee receives Governor General’s Academic Medal

Kemptville - Jul. 13, 2011 - North Grenville District High School (NGDHS) graduate Samantha Yee was the recipient of the Governor General’s Academic Medal this year.

“Samantha is a tremendous student and person, as well as a wonderful representative of the students at NGDHS,” said Principal Steve Sharp. “Samantha represented our graduating class as their Valedictorian and received numerous academic awards during our Commencement ceremonies on June 29.”

Sharp said Yee also received a NGDHS Gold Pin for her exemplary academic record, participation in school athletics, volunteerism, and quality character. Yee was also the recipient of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario Volunteer Award for her countless hours of volunteer work.
