Fatal motor vehicle collision at South Branch and McConnell

There was a serious motor vehicle accident today in the City's north end. The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a motor vehicle collision which occurred at the intersection of South Branch Road and McConnell Avenue shortly after 4:30 pm.

Cornwall - Jun. 16, 2011 - There was a serious motor vehicle accident today in the City's north end.

The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a motor vehicle collision which occurred at the intersection of South Branch Road and McConnell Avenue shortly after 4:30 pm.

A motorcyclist was travelling westbound on South Branch Road when he was struck by the driver of a pick-up truck travelling eastbound proceeding north on to McConnell Avenue.

The motorcyclist’s identity will be released pending notification of next of kin. The motor vehicle collision is still under investigation.
