Food, Friends and Football
The wind is blowing and the snow is falling in SW Ontario. Lake St. Clair is busy with ski-doos and four-wheelers and our house is filled with the smell of onions and garlic. As you can see from our picture, we are compiling items for Super Bowl fun. Enjoy the game everyone - have fun and play safe.

Stoney Point - February 1, 2015 - As I'm chopping, roasting and stirring, Billie's voice fills the house then Louis, Stylistics, Sade, Stevie ... great music, delicious food and the Super Bowl. Whenever there's an event we try to keep it easy. You're right, I try to keep it simple and this years' game is no exception because it's chilli. We aren't reinventing the wheel and I know that, but I haven't made a brimming pot of chilli in a long while and with the cold temps and snow falling today, it will be perfect.

Two pots are brimming now, one with a tradition meat chilli and a scrumptious vegan chilli beside it (don't roll your eyes; it will have great depth of flavour also). I just wanted to post a note to say we're cooking like many of you and here is to a great game (even though neither of our teams made it). Be safe on the roads. Call a cab. Organize a designated driver. Have fun and I will post my chilli and biscuit recipes soon.

Call #TAXI (8294) anywhere in Canada and the US which connects you to the first available cab company in your area from your mobile phone.
