Windsor-Essex - January 6, 2015 - Carrots 'N Dates will make you forget about the cold with their Hearty Shepherd's Pie on the menu today. Take it from their "to go fridge" to warm the family tonight or they'll heat it up in the oven for your lunch. It is made from brown lentils (lentils help lower cholesterol, they are of special benefit in managing blood-sugar disorders since their high fiber content prevents blood sugar levels from rising rapidly after a meal and they're packed with minerals) and sweet potatoes so it's healthy and delicious.
