Stoney Point - Mar. 29, 2014 - Canada's South (Windsor Essex, Ontario) has been suffering through a brutal winter along with the rest of the province. Last winter, we were sitting on our beach in mid-December in sweatshirts with a glass of wine in-hand. We were also spoiled with swans all season on the open lake. The lake looked snow covered, but it was their glistening white feathers and we were serenaded with their crooning which lasted into the night.

We took a stroll on our frozen lake today noting the fishermen towards Lighthouse Cove and we found our swans down the street on a farmer's flooded field (see photos and video clip). We remain hopeful that the Weather Network's warming trend is accurate and the temps will rise starting tomorrow. I'm hoping Mother Nature isn't much of an April's Fool type of gal. Cross your fingers!
