SNAPSHOT - Our day with hundreds of Bonaparte

Stoney Point - Dec. 16, 2012 - We took full advantage of the balmy day in Lakeshore as we noted many others did also. Playing on the beach in a sweatshirt on December 16th - we marveled at how wonderful it felt. We weren't the only species frolicking in the warmth of the day, we were entertained by hundreds of Bonaparte's Gulls continuously gliding by us in a choreographed aerial demonstration.

Here are a few pics of our friends and a thank you to Dwayne Murphy of Nerdy for Birdy for identifying our new friends for us.

* - Brain Feed: these birds are named after Prince Charles Lucien Bonaparte, a zoologist and nephew of Napoleon.
