SNAPSHOT - OPP Auxiliary food drive a huge success
Alexandria - Nov. 15, 2011 - For the 2nd straight year, SD&G OPP Auxiliary members hosted their "Stuff a Cruiser" food drive at five (5) locations throughout the United Counties. Once again, residents of SD&G showed their generosity in giving to worthy causes.

Donations were collected at Baxtrom's Your Independent Grocer in Cornwall, Foodland in Ingleside, Mike Dean's in Winchester, Riley's Value Mart in Morrsiburg and Chartrand's Your Independent Grocer in Alexandria.

A total of $2,925.77 in monetary donations and 13,900 pounds of food items were collected.

SD&G OPP Auxiliary Unit Commander, SSgt Al Jodoin stated "From all the members of the SD&G OPP Auxiliary Unit and Detachment, we wish to sincerely thank everyone for making this Food Drive a phenomenal success!"

SD&G OPP Detachment Commander, Inspector Mike McDonell adds, "We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated group of men and women that make up our Auxiliary Unit. They devote countless hours serving the residents of our Communities and we appreciated their efforts."
