Cornwall - Jun. 21, 2011 - Ontario PC MPP Steve Clark made a campaign stop yesterday with Ontario PC candidate Jim McDonell. Clark and McDonell highlighted Dalton McGuinty’s plan for future tax hikes.

First, Dalton McGuinty broke his 2003 and 2007 promises not to raise taxes and, in fact, imposed the largest income tax increase (the so-called ‘health’ tax) and sales tax increase (the HST) after each election.

Second, Dalton McGuinty, his advisors, and his Ministers have all been caught musing about increasing taxes – including multiple hints that they plan to impose a massive new carbon tax that will punish Ontario families for using energy. The taxman will strike again.

Third, Dalton McGuinty must increase taxes in order to pay for his secret deals with foreign multinationals such as Samsung and secret wage hike deals with OPSEU and others.
