October is small business month and the Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating with BizFest, a jam packed week of activities all focused on our city's small business professionals.

Cornwall - Oct. 19, 2011 - October is small business month and the Cornwall & Area Chamber of Commerce is celebrating with BizFest, a jam packed week of activities all focused on our city's small business professionals.

They have already been charged up with two, business ‘Boot-Camps’ along with a high energy talk about how to wow customers and there is yet more to come.

“Eight out of 10 Chamber members are part of the small business sector and BizFest is focused on helping them take their enterprises to the next level,” reports Chamber President, Rick Shaver. “So far this week, there have been outstanding workshops with Gerry Visca, one of Canada’s leading Creative Coaches and dynamic speaker Dennis Van Staalduinen’s ‘Good-Jazz’ formula.”

This outstanding small business week continues Thursday with BizShow. Presented at the Ramada Inn & Conference Centre and beginning at 4:00 p.m., close to 30 exhibitors will be on hand to describe and discuss the latest in products and services focused on the small business professional and all designed to make their enterprise even better. BizShow includes a reception with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.

Friday is the climax of BizFest week with a fabulous party featuring internationally renowned recording stars, Graham Greer and Tyler Kealey in concert. Beginning at 7:00 p.m. and hosted at City Limits in Cornwall’s north end, this once-in-a- lifetime concert brings these two stars together, on stage for a terrific musical performance. Along with the concert, there will be delicious complimentary ‘munchies’.Tickets are available for $25 at the Chamber office and may be picked up at the door.
