Pigskin Picks - Manning, Giants will upset Jets in Meadowlands
The New York Jets have the brash talk of Coach Rex Ryan and the outstanding play of Darelle Revis, who has kept opposing WR on Revis Island all season. The New York Giants have a defensive line, led by super sophomore Jason Pierre-Paul, who thrive on getting to the QB.

Antigonish - December 23, 2011 - Pigskin picks went 4 for 5 in Week 15 to enter Week Sixteen 60/78 (77%) on the season, losing only on the incredible Green Bay upset loss. Week 16 saw the Colts potentially bungle their chances at the #1 overall pick by upsetting the heavily favored Texans. As a die-hard Colts fan, I could not help but cheer them on to victory, even though the costs of such a win may handily outpace the benefits.

Week 16, which happens to be championship weekend in most fantasy football leagues, comes with its own intrigue, as the jockeying for both the top and bottom rungs makes game play even more compelling than usual. On then, to my Week 16 picks.

Lock of the Week: Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers - The Pack, having put talk of a perfect season to rest virtue of their upset loss to KC last weekend, shoudl come storming out of the gates looking to re-assert their dominance in this one vs a Bears team that has stumbled down the stretch due to an assortment of key injuries. The Pack is back! Green Bay wins in a romp.

Upset of the Week - New York Giants at New York Jets -
The Jets have the brash talk of Coach Rex Ryan and the outstanding play of Darelle Revis, who has kept opposing WR on Revis Island all season. The Giants have a defensive line, led by super sophomore Jason Pierre-Paul, who thrive on getting to the QB. In a huge tilt with playoff implications for both teams, the team with the veteran QB wins in a tight one. Giants win!

Oakland Raiders at KC Chiefs -
Fresh off the huge upset win over Green Bay, the Chiefs fall back to Earth against a hungry Raiders team. After a win like that, there is bound to be a “fall back” in KC - and the Raiders have a better team, with vet QB Carson Palmer helping a young WR corps, especially Darrius Heyward-Bey to emerge. Raiders win!

Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys -
Another upset could be in the works here, as the Eagles are finally starting to play like they are capable now that QB Michael Vick is healthy. While the Cowboys will be a tough team to bring down, uncertainty in the running game due to the season ending injury to DeMarco Murray and nagging hamstring issues with Felix Jones give the Eagles a chance to soar again. Eagles win!

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens -
Baltimore seems to have a knack for delivering a stinker every two or three games, and with that out of the way last week, they should be ready to ride the back of RB Ray Rice against a weak team in Cleveland that is starting a career backup QB in Seneca Wallace, and whose runnign game and defense has struggled all season. Ravens Win!
