Cornwall Police Blotter October 4

The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:It is alleged that on the 3rd of October, 2011 a man entered into an altercation with his ex-girlfriend's 51 year-old mother when he assaulted her.

Cornwall - Oct. 4, 2011 - The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:

ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 23 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 3th of October, 2011. It is alleged that on the 3rd of October, 2011 he entered into an altercation with his ex-girlfriend's 51 year-old mother when he assaulted her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The victim suffered minor injuries to her chin. He was charged with Assault and released to appear in court on the 20th of October, 2011 to answer to the charge. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

WARRANT
Cornwall, ON-Jennifer Michaud, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on the 3rd of October, 2011 under the strength of an outstanding Probation Warrant. She was bound by a Conditional Sentence Order with the conditions to Keep the Peace, abide by full house arrest and no contact with anyone known to use drugs. It is alleged that on the 28th of September, 2011 she failed to follow the conditions of her Conditional Sentence Order. She was located and held in custody until court the following day.

SEXUAL ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 3rd of October, 2011. It is alleged that on the 28th of September, 2011 he inappropriately grabbed a 15 year-old female unknown to him. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The victim was not injured. The youth was charged with Sexual Assault and released to appear in court on the 27th of October, 2011. The youth's name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 3rd of October, 2011. It is alleged that she entered into an altercation with her 17 year-old boyfriend when she assaulted him. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Domestic Assault and released to appear in court on the 27th of October, 2011 to answer to the charge. The youth's name was not released as it would identify the victim and as per the provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
