The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Police Service:The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 10th of Semptember, 2011 and the 15th of September, 2011 at a Lynn Street shed.

Cornwall - Sep. 16, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Police Service:

ROBBERY, UNLAWFULLY IN DWELLING & BREACH OF PROBATION ORDER
Cornwall, ON- Bradley James Bass, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on the 15th of September, 2011. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 15th of September, 2011 he attended a Guy Street residence, assaulted the 31 year-old resident and stole prescription medications. The victim was transported to hospital for medical treatment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed by the Cornwall Community Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch. He was charged with Robbery, Unlawfully in Dwelling House and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court later that day.

WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Valerie Jeanne Tremblay, 31 of Cornwall was arrested on the 15th of September, 2011 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on the 12th of September, 2011 a warrant was sought as she failed to re-attend to court. She was located and held in custody until court later that day.
Cornwall, ON- Brandon Charles Cook, 39 of No Fixed Address was arrested on the 15th of September, 2011 under the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on the 17th of July, 2011 he stole a taxi cab after assaulting the driver therefore committing Robbery. The 51 year-old taxi driver was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was held in custody until court the following day.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE AND PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON- Shawna Mary Chartrand, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on the 15th of September, 2011. She was bound by a Recognizance with the condition to not be away from residence except with surety. It is alleged that on the 6th of September, 2011 she left her residence without her surety and was found to be in possession obtained by crime. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Breach of Recognizance and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. She was released to appear in court on the 29th of November, 2011 to answer to the charges.

THEFT UNDER $5000.00
Cornwall, ON- A 16 year-old Akwesasne youth was arrested on the 15th of September, 2011. It is alleged that the youth attended a Brookdale Avenue store and stole merchandise. The youth was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer and turned over to a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division. The youth was charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and released to appear in court on the 24th of November, 2011.

BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- An 18 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 15th of September, 2011. He was bound by a Youth Probation Order, a Recognizance and an Undertaking all with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 10th of September, 2011 he failed to attend for fingerprints. He was located and charged accordingly. He was held in custody to await court the following day.

IMPAIRED OPERATION, OBSTRUCT POLICE AND OVER .80 Cornwall, ON- Michael Francis Farkas, 33 of Cornwall was arrested shortly after 11:00 p.m. on the 15th of September, 2011. It is alleged that he operated a motor vehicle on Brookdale Avenue while under the influence of alcohol. The male was charged with Impaired Operation and transported for further testing which resulted in a charge of Over. 80. He was also charged with Obstruct police for providing a false name. He was held in custody until court the following day.

BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 10th of Semptember, 2011 and the 15th of September, 2011 at a Lynn Street shed. The suspect(s) gained entry by pushing in the doors and proceeded to steal a CCM turquoise Mountain bike, Two Trek Mountain bikes grey in colour, Four pairs of Roller blades (two pairs of youth size, size 1 and size 7 which are black in colour and Two pairs of K2 roller blades, black with red in colour size 11 1/2 and 8).
