March Madness for 2024-25??

Since the 2016-17 season, the CFHL, MFHL and WFHL have been running a combined March Madness tournament.

Rules are as follows...
1. Single elimination tournament. Win and move on. Lose and you're out.
2. Teams from all three leagues will be seeded 1-48 after Week 21.
3. Division I includes teams 1-32, Division II includes teams 33-48.
4. Teams will be re-seeded after each round based on original seeding. (Week 21)
5. Entry fee is $5.00 per team. Division I payout is $160. Division II payout is $80. Winner take all.
6. TIEBREAKER - a) Fewest Games Played, b) Most Goals Scored, c) Flip of Coin

This tournament has added some extra fun competition for GMs, offered a chance for guys to win some money and also get another trophy on their page.

Rick and I are proposing to add March Madness to the DFHL! Due to the difference in the size of the line-up submissions in our league compared the other three above, we cannot add our teams into that tournament, so this is a proposal to create one specifically for the DFHL.

All 16 teams will qualify and the tournament would begin on Week 23. If this motion passes, team dues will increase by $5.00 to fund the pot for March Madness. Winner will receive $80.00.
