I recently had a good rule question posed to me. "If we are allowed to carry 30 players, why are we not allowed to carry 19 draft picks?"
You will remember that back in November of 2018, we passed a rule that would allow teams to carry a maximum of 30 players, instead of 25. This was done to reduce the number of drops required in each Waiver draft.
However, I believe that I have been enforcing this rule incorrectly since then - in that I have only allowed teams to have a maximum of 14 draft picks (11=14=25).
Therefore I would like to make the following motion:

That each team will be permitted to carry a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 19 draft picks. This change will take effect the day following the Entry Draft in October of 2024. The entry draft will remain the same length of 12 rounds and each team will be required to ensure that they can field a full Major and Minor Line-up at completion of the Entry Draft.
NOTE: The CFHL has passed this motion. It is now being introduced to both the MFHL and WFHL.
