March Madness for 2024-25??

Since the 2016-17 season, the CFHL, MFHL and WFHL have been running a combined March Madness tournament.

Rules are as follows...
1. Single elimination tournament. Win and move on. Lose and you're out.
2. Teams from all three leagues will be seeded 1-48 after Week 21.
3. Division I includes teams 1-32, Division II includes teams 33-48.
4. Teams will be re-seeded after each round based on original seeding. (Week 21)
5. Entry fee is $5.00 per team. Division I payout is $160. Division II payout is $80. Winner take all.
6. TIEBREAKER - a) Fewest Games Played, b) Most Goals Scored, c) Flip of Coin

This tournament has added some extra fun competition for GMs, offered a chance for guys to win some money and also get another trophy on their page.

Rick and I are proposing to add March Madness to the HHFL! Due to the difference in the size of the line-up submissions in our league compared the other three above, we cannot add our teams into that tournament, so this is a proposal to create one specifically for the HHFL.

The top 16 teams at the end of Week 22 will qualify and the tournament would begin on Week 23. If this motion passes, team dues will increase by $5.00 for those 16 teams, to fund the pot for March Madness. Winner will receive $80.00.
